Vlček’s assistance was truly exclusive. He took the ball, looked around and sent a long and accurate kick to Schranz, who broke through the defenders and equalized. “The passport was really beautiful. You don’t see that often and it was actually absolutely brilliant on his part. He just raised his head, I saw that he was looking for a place behind the defense. He gave it to me perfectly. Like Luka Modric,” the striker praised his younger teammate with a smile, comparing him to the Croatian playing legend.
Constructive passing must be controlled by the stopper who wants to be in Slavia. “I don’t know if it was fully rehearsed. I saw that I was alone, that Schanzik was running, and that there was space. Above all, I’m glad that we were able to equalize and that I had some part in it,” recounted Vlček, who immediately after the game had to run around the field with the other members of the second team to have the necessary load on his legs.
After loan spells in Ústí nad Labem, Jihlava and Pardubice, he was ripe for a chance at Slavia. It can offer speed, which comes in handy in an often risky style of play. In addition, the red and whites tried a lot in preparation with the option with three stoppers, so it seems that he could get a solid workload.
But he is not the only one who wants to play. Together with him, Igoh Ogbu, Tomáš Holeš, Taras Kačaraba, Aiham Ousou and Jan Bořil all played a role as a stopper against Dresden. “Since Slavia is the biggest and best Czech club, it is clear that there will be competition. And it is beneficial. I have a huge motivation to fight for a place. I look up to other stoppers, I want to be even better. When you have a certain place, the head works differently. It’s not like that here, I’ll keep moving, working and giving my best to get a chance,” said Vlček.
He knows the Slavic environment from his youth, but now he is getting used to a different pressure. He has the advantage that he has already completed training under Trpišovský. You touched everything a little bit. But the stormy atmosphere of the friendly match with Dresden was new for him.

“It’s terribly beautiful when it’s so full. It’s played in a different way, you enjoy it. Football is played for the fans and when you see how much they love their club, it’s nice to make them happy. It doesn’t bind me,” pointed out the now solid member of Trpišovský’s group. It will be up to him how he asserts himself.
