“It turned out that it doesn’t matter how educated the candidate ministers are, how good specialists they are, how clear their priorities are. It turned out that this is not important for those media and politicians who appointed Nikolay Vassilev as the conductor of the DPS, a statement that has nothing to do with the truth,” Trifonov also wrote.

The day after the election, I proposed a draft cabinet composed only of highly educated professionals and with clear priorities. For Prime Minister, I proposed the economist Nikolay Vasilev, a person with experience in politics, in state administration and in real business. In just three days, a huge slop was poured over him. It turned out that it doesn’t matter how educated the candidate ministers are, how good specialists they are, how clear their priorities are. It turned out that this was not important for those media and politicians who appointed Nikolay Vasilev as a conductor of the DPS, a statement that has nothing to do with the truth.
However, I understand that the country does not need instability and new elections. It is not so important to me what lies some of the non-status quo parties have told. For me, it is much more important to “remove” the GERB model from the public and political life of the country. Because this is the main enemy of statehood and democracy. I get it, unlike some others. Therefore, I decided to withdraw the candidacy of a worthy person like Nikolay Vasilev, because no one is more important than the problems before us as a society. We, as the party that won the last elections, will very soon propose a new Prime Minister with a revised composition of the Council of Ministers.
And because I believe that everything should happen publicly in front of your eyes, tomorrow at BTA, exactly at 1 p.m., part of the political leadership of “There is such a people”, together with Mr. Nikolay Vasilev, will hold a press conference, at which they will answer all questions of all journalists.
