The fact that the authority closed the slaughterhouse of the Prott family last Thursday is due to videos that the Munich association “Soko Tierschutz” had sent to the Unna district, the Dortmund public prosecutor’s office and the NRW environment ministry hours beforehand. According to the association’s chairman Friedrich Mülln, four hidden cameras were installed in the slaughterhouse that have recorded around the clock for three weeks since February 22nd. “14 days of slaughter were documented, during which work was mostly carried out between 4 a.m. and 11 a.m.,” says the club’s chairman. Videos are verifiably made in the slaughterhouse. The videos that our editorial team has in parts and, according to the Unna district administration, were made in the slaughterhouse in Prott, are unambiguous.
