Skylink has been eliminated by ČT Sport. The end of the program for Slovak viewers? [aktualizované]

During today, Skylink has removed the Czech sports channel ČT Sport from its offer for Slovak clients. The sports program of the Czech public broadcaster was eliminated in both the Skylink satellite service and the Skylink Live TV internet service. This happened in parallel with the inclusion of sports television JOJ Sport to Skylink Live TV. Several of our readers have already informed us about this change.

During the writing of this report, geoblocation was activated on the ČT Sport program on all Slovak decoder cards, similarly to the previous TV Nova or Prima channels. In addition, the program was removed from the Slovak FastScan list, which uses Skylink Ready devices. Currently, only Skylink clients who have a decoding card with the Czech region can watch the ČT Sport HD program. Propagation on the Astra 3B satellite (23.5 ° E), 12 343 MHz, therefore continues.

Skylink has not yet officially commented on the exclusion of ČT Sport from the Slovak offer. However, the reason is copyright.
