Sky expert names Liverpool star who gave teammates a ‘dazzling look’ after third goal

Liverpool lost a chance to move three points clear at the top of the Premier League table after the frantic draw at Brentford tonight.

The 2020 Premier League champions held a 3-3 draw against the newly promoted club in one of the best games fans of either club, or a neutral club, will see this season.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool thought they had done enough when Curtis Jones made it 3-2 in the 67th minute, shortly after the hosts tied.

But Bees forward Yoane Wissa appeared with a third for Brentford with eight minutes to go.

And according to Alan Smith during his co-comment on Sky Sports, Liverpool mighty Virgil van Dijk was unhappy with the goal and told his colleagues in the form of a look.

Smith said: “They are being pushed to the limit, Liverpool. Van Dijk is not happy, and he looks at some of his teammates with a dazzling look.

Lost opportunity

With Manchester United and Chelsea losing earlier on Saturday, to Aston Villa and Manchester City respectively, this was a great opportunity for Liverpool to reclaim and establish the light of day.

And while Klopp’s team is still atop the Premier League, it’s only by one point that it could, and should have been, three.

In fact, it was almost a loss and it would have been had it not been for Van Dijk, who brilliantly managed to deny Ivan Toney in the final stages.

But for the most part, it’s two points lost to Liverpool.
