SKY Airline Peru requests the first destinations to fly with A321XLR – Aviacionline

The General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) of Peru has revealed that SKY Airlines Peru requested a massive number of destinations, focusing mainly on the Airbus A321XLR, model of which will be the launch customer in Latin America with a tentative delivery date at the end of 2025.

The Airbus A321XLR is the European manufacturer’s new flagship model, being the narrow-body aircraft currently in production with the longest range, able to cover up to 4,700 nautical miles (8,700 kilometers), when equipped with additional auxiliary tanks.

SKY Airline has orders for ten unitswhich will be delivered during the fourth quarter of 2025will be based primarily in Lima and then in Santiago, with the aim of flying to the Caribbean and Rapa Nui (Easter Island). This request comes after that of JetSMART, which aims to expand for the first time to North America and the Caribbeanincluding flying from Lima to Mexico, the United States and the Dominican Republic.
