In the program “Dienas personība ar Velta Puriņu” on “TV24” television, comedian Jānis Skutelis judges Raimonda Paul’s work jokingly.
The comedian explains how important it is “to parody or caricature something, you have to know how to do it yourself”. As a comparison, Skutelis mentions clowns, who tend to caricature juggling before a juggler’s performance.
“The ability to interpret classical music and respectfully talk about it and make fun of it is the highest pilotage,” says Skutelis.
“Raymond Paul has always been associated with that for me. He doesn’t bang maybe that much with the music itself, but as soon as he has the opportunity to express himself, it becomes a performance, the humor is present,” the comedian believes.
