Skull and Bones Closed Beta Testing Receives Overwhelmingly Negative Feedback from Users, Consider Quitting After Just One Hour

Skull and Bones is in closed beta testing, but early feedback from beta testers is not at all positive. Moreover, some of them said that they quit the game early, without using the six hours allotted for it.

Skull and Bones is a complex project, born as a spin-off of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. During ten years of development, it was postponed eight times. The release date is currently set for February 16, 2024.

However, those who managed to try out the closed beta do not seem to be happy at all. It all started with posts on redditin which user achilleasa said he quit the game after the first hour because it was so boring.

The description is underwhelming as it’s a bit of a walking simulator with mediocre dialogue, at least in the beginning.

You spend your time watching boring cutscenes, endless dialogue between NPCs, and completing quests. It’s literally a walking simulator.” At some point you get thrown into the craft menu for no reason. I don’t want to build a cannon. I still don’t know what those items are. Let me play.

His comment was joined by many others, and at the moment the post already has more than a lot of comments and 11 thousand likes. Many echoed achilleasa’s words, claiming that they had been playing the game for less than the required amount of time, and explaining that the game still has some issues from the beta version two years ago, despite the fact that they have already been reported to the developers.
