Jupiter Pro LeagueRush on the eve of Club Brugge – OH Leuven. Andreas Skov Olsen, who is out of shape and has a hip problem, expressed his displeasure at the non-selection: “The coach has chosen to exclude me from the squad”, the forward regretted.
As if Club Brugge’s Christmas game against OHL on Monday afternoon at 13:30 wasn’t already packed enough, Skov Olsen let himself go on Sunday night after being dropped from the match selection by Carl Hoefkens. Skov Olsen has had hip problems for a while, but you can tell from his Instagram reaction that this is not the main reason for his non-selection against OH Leuven.
“I wish I could help the team tomorrow, but the coach has chosen to exclude me from the team. I’m not hurt, as the rumors say. I wish the team the best,” read Sunday evening. At least for a while: shortly after Skov Olsen sent the message to the world, he was once again removed.
Skov Olsen considers himself fit enough to play against OH Leuven, but has therefore not been included in the selection. And that apparently went in the wrong direction. He waits for tomorrow to find out exactly why Hoefkens didn’t choose Skov Olsen.
Perhaps it has to do with his slump in form and poor performance, which the club are not happy with. He also played no significant role on behalf of Denmark at the World Cup in Qatar. Previously, Hoefkens dropped Yaremchuk and Balanta, among others, out of the selection after a difference of opinion.
