On Christmas Eve last year, Supreme Court Justice Toril Marie Øie asked the Judges’ Supervisory Board to assess whether fellow judge Jens Edvin Skoghøy meets the ethical requirements set for the professional group. That is, if he’s eligible to be a Supreme Court justice.
The background was the widespread media attention around Skoghøy’s allegation that his wife had tried to poison him. In the response to the commission, sent on Monday evening, Skoghøy reiterated the allegations about the alleged poisoning. He also recounts a longer history of illness that he believes Øie must have known about since June last year.
