The novelty will very likely not be available on the European market, Škoda is developing it primarily for India, where it will also be produced. Later, it should reach other countries as well, but it is really difficult to reach the old continent.
Motoring website Autocar India describes the upcoming model as a compact SUV, which “translates” to a small car. In India, they work with automotive segments a little differently than we do in Europe.
Inclusion in this class means a length of around four meters, Autocar India even writes about a length under four meters – thanks to it, customers could achieve certain tax benefits. The new SUV will thus be shorter than the current Fabia, the smallest car in the European range of the brand.

In India, it will be placed under the Kushaq model, which measures 4,225 millimeters in length, and should compete with cars such as Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet or Maruti Brezza. Skoda also promises an interesting price. The aforementioned Kushaq costs roughly 335,000 crowns in the basic version, the smaller SUV will certainly be even cheaper.
The MQB-A0-IN platform will serve as the technical basis, the car will share a number of components with the larger Kushaq model. A turbocharged liter three-cylinder will certainly appear under the hood, there is also speculation about the deployment of a 1.5 TSI four-cylinder unit.

Autocar India mentions the start of production by January 2025 and describes the new SUV as a global model. In addition to India, it should also be sold in Mexico, some Southeast Asian countries and selected markets in Africa.
