And shortly before the end of the middle period, the Steelers even turned the game in their favor. Eventually, however, the home team got a well-deserved equaliser. Philip Jansa received a pass from Schleiss to the right circle, from where he conjured a fantastic shot into the far corner of the goal. Třinec threatened the chances of Vrány and Čach, Samuel Hlavaj, who replaced Pavlát in the third period, but he also kept the Pilsen team. And so you don’t give money – you get it. David Kvasnicka had a lot of space in front of him on the left circle, then the Škoda defender presented himself with a beautiful shot under the top bar. Škoda could have come even closer to three points when, in a two-on-one situation, Miroslav Indrák took responsibility from the right wing, but after his shot, another post rang for Mazanc. In the end, Třinec tried it while playing without a goalkeeper, but the score did not change, Škoda again defeated the champion Steelers on their own ice, this time in great drama 5:4.
