Škoda Unveils Electric Concept Epiq – Budget-Friendly Model Coming Soon

The Czech car manufacturer Škoda has presented the concept of the electric concept Epiq, which will become a budget class serial model next year with a starting price of around 25 thousand euros. As can be seen in the images, the new concept demonstrates a radically different design language when compared to previous Škoda models.

The manufacturer has previously presented the “Modern Solid” design language, which will then be the basis for future Škoda designs, and this will be one of the first models built according to this new philosophy.

The length of the concept is about 4.1 meters, which suggests that it is an electric alternative to the Kamiq. Škoda representatives point out that this upcoming model is much more spacious than the Kamiq, thanks to the electric car platform – most likely the MEB Entry. Its boot capacity is a solid 490 liters (Kamiq 400 litres), which already puts it a class closer to larger machines such as the current Karoq.

It is interesting that the bosses of the Volkswagen brand also spoke about the amount of space, that is, this Epiq crossover is related to the VW ID.2all concept – technically they will be very similar, if not identical. The ID.2all concept is said to be “roomy like a Golf but accessible like a Polo”. Obviously, the amount of space in the cabin will be one of the strong points of these models.

The Czechs are keeping quiet about the battery and range for now, but it is promised that the car will cover more than 400 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. Moving on to the car – even though this is formally a concept, it is unlikely that the car will change much before it goes into serial production. Of course, there will be different details, but broadly speaking, this is what the Epiq will look like when it goes into production next year. This year, news is still expected from Škoda – the manufacturer will present a slightly larger Elroq electric crossover, but these new models will be complemented by the new generation Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe models in 2026.
