Škoda Auto continues its international expansion when it opened its largest showroom to date. It is not in China, as many might estimate, but in Dubai. The United Arab Emirates is also an interesting market with great potential for the Mladá Boleslav brand; last year, Škoda’s sales jumped by 35% year-on-year.
The newly opened sales office in Dubai covers an area of 1,200 square meters, offering space for 40 cars on display. In Dubai, the Škoda offer includes six model lines, the Scala and Kamiq were sold there last year, and the new Octavia arrived at the beginning of this year. Karoq, Kodiaq and Superb are also available.
At the same time, we can already find such large car stores of other brands in the Czech Republic today. The Hyundai dealership in Uherský Brod, which opened last year, was presented with a sales area of over 1,200 m2. In the case of the new showroom in Průhonice, Volvo is talking about a sales area of the 965 m showroom2. CarTec in Prague even talks about an area of 6000 m2, however, various BMW Group brands are presented in the Strašnice showroom.
At the same time, the Dubai showroom impresses not only with its size, but also with its modern technology. In addition to a personal approach, advanced digital technologies are also used for optimal consulting services.
The Mladá Boleslav brand is represented in the Emirates by the local company Ali & Sons, with which it has been cooperating since 2010. There are three branded showrooms in the UAE, in addition to the newly opened one in Dubai, one in Abu Dhabi and one in Al Ain.
“One of the main elements of the future program” Next Level Škoda “is the consistent support of the internationalization of our carmaker. We are purposefully entering new markets so that we can continue to grow profitably. As we expand our presence in the United Arab Emirates, we are consolidating and strengthening our position, ”comments Martin Jahn, member of the carmaker’s board of directors for sales and marketing, about the opening of the new store.
