Skoda Epiq: New Electric B-SUV to Arrive in 2025 at 25,000 Euros – First Look and Details

Skoda Epiq a new electric B-SUV to arrive in 2025 and will be offered on the market at a price of around 25 thousand euros. The car manufacturer has therefore provided a small preview of this car which will represent the entry model of its BEV range. For the moment, Skoda has only shown a design study which however anticipates the shapes of the new battery-powered B-SUV which will be characterized by having the new design language called “Modern Solid”.

The Epiq will be a very important model for Skoda’s electrification strategy which plans to launch several new battery-powered models.

OVER 400 KM OF AUTONOMY

Skoda also shared some first technical information about its new B-SUV. It will be approximately 4.1 meters long and I can count on over 400 km of autonomy. Despite its compact dimensions, it will offer plenty of space on board. The car manufacturer talks about a load capacity of up to 490 litres. Furthermore, it will have support for bidirectional charging. This means that it will be possible to use the energy contained in the traction battery to power external electrical devices.

Speaking of the design of the new Skoda Epiq, the front is characterized by what is called “Tech-Deck Face” (in glossy black), a reinterpretation of the classic Skoda grille which houses devices such as the radar and the front camera inside. We then find split headlights with Matrix LED technology and a massively shaped bumper characterized by the presence of 8 vertical air intakes. The look of the rear recalls that of the front with the same aesthetic motifs on the light clusters and bumper.

L’passenger compartmentinstead, presents one minimalist style. Behind the multifunction steering wheel we find the digital instrument screen. The large touch display of the infotainment system has been integrated centrally on the dashboard. For the passenger compartment, extensive use has been made of sustainable materials and there will be no shortage of Skoda’s classic Simply Clever solutions. The car can be managed remotely through a dedicated app.

The B-SUV will be built in Pamplona, Spain, where the other “small” electric cars from Volkswagen and Cupra will also be made. Skoda Epiq will therefore have many points in common with the Volkswagen ID.2 to suffer from the use of MEB Entry platform. All that remains, therefore, is to wait for news on the development of this new battery-powered model.
