The Laurin & Klement version gives considerably more mileage to the electric Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe
Electric crossovers Skoda Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe received a new premium package that makes the cars more luxurious and technologically advanced. The package is called Laurin & Klement and is named after the founders of Skoda – Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement. Even before the announcement of the official prices, it is clear that this will be the new record holder for the most expensive production car in the history of the Czech company.
The most luxurious versions of the Enyaq and Coupe are distinguished externally by new bumpers with platinum gray accents around the air intakes. Crossovers benefit from an extended list of standard features such as the so-called Crystal Face grille, which is illuminated by 131 LEDs, full LED matrix headlights, 20-inch wheels, leather upholstery, front seats with ventilation and massage functions and L&K emblems throughout the exterior and interior. Additionally, the Laurin & Klement version adds aluminum pedals and contoured interior lighting.
Crossovers will receive an updated infotainment system with the Skoda Cl user interface, which will be integrated into all future models of the brand.
The Skoda Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe Laurin & Klement are equipped with a 285 hp electric motor. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 6.7 seconds for the rear-wheel drive version and 6.6 seconds for the all-wheel drive version. The maximum speed of both cars is limited to 180 km per hour.
Also, electric crossovers get improved batteries, and fast charging from 10 to 80% takes less than 30 minutes. The maximum power reserve on the WLTP cycle is up to 570 km on a single charge.
The increase in range (Enyaq 80 iV – 548 km and Enyaq 80x iV – 524 km) is the result of optimization of the battery management system, which is equipped with a pre-heating function.
This feature will also appear in other versions of the electric car with a change in model year. It is activated automatically when a route to the charging station is set in the navigation or forced.
Enyaq L&K will have Kessy keyless entry – the doors lock automatically when the owner leaves the car. As well as two interior design options – L&K Shell Design Selection with beige leather upholstery and L&K Black Design Selection with black.
The price of the Skoda Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe Laurin & Klement has not yet been revealed. Electric crossovers should debut on the European market before the end of 2023. After the launch of this new trim level, the company will drop the “iV” from the names of all its electric cars.
