Škoda Auto has started cooperating with RegioJet to share scooters and cars

The cooperation of the carrier with the car manufacturer also solves transport to and from the station.

RegioJet has connected its service with Škoda Auto Digilab, which operates the BeRider system of shared electric scooters and HoppyGo car rental in the Czech Republic.

The announcement of cooperation was published by the carmaker in a press release today. According to the carmaker, both companies can use comfortable door-to-door transport without passengers having to use their own car.

“Partnering with RegioJet gives us the opportunity to take advantage of a number of synergies and make individual mobility even more progressive. As part of this cooperation, we also monitor the customer orientation of our services, which are tailored exactly to the requirements of our users and
make their daily lives easier, “ said Jarmila Plachá, director of Škoda Auto DigiLab.

RegioJet first links the travel documents to the BeRider service. When buying a RegioJet bus or train ticket, passengers will have a discounted option to register with the BeRider electric scooter sharing service. After confirmation, they will receive an e-mail with a code for 60 free minutes, thanks to which they can travel on the scooter free of charge to or from the station. BeRider currently operates only in Prague. The hour of free minutes is valid only at the first registration.

Following a similar pattern, partners will involve hoppy-to-peer carsharing HoppyGo. Newly registered HoppyGo users will receive a credit of CZK 500 for a RegioJet ticket for car rental. For example, passengers can take a shared car to the station, park it there in reserved parking spaces in the future and continue their journey by bus or RegioJet train. RegioJet already cooperates with the Car4Way service in this way.

RegioJet connections will be available in the future despite the multimodal application Citymove, which is available in Prague. Through it, it will be possible to create a combination of means of transport in advance for the planned journey, such as a RegioJet train or bus, a BeRider electric scooter, a HoppyGo shared car, public transport, shared bicycles or a taxi. Users can choose suitable means of transport at the touch of a finger, book them, pay straight away and get the most convenient connection for themselves.
