skill tree, progression and endgame in the new developer diary

The developers of Blizzard have released a new update on the development of Diablo 4 that specifically delves into the reorganization of skills and talents as well as the progression in the phases of the endgame.

Following user feedback, the development team has revised the progression system compared to the previous chapters, considered too “simple”, in favor of a tree that includes “active” and “passive” skills. The points to be spent in the appropriate section in active skills will affect different parameters allowing large increases in power with the consequent customization according to your style of play. Passive abilities will affect the more general aspects of the character instead.

Blizzard claimed that by the end of the main campaign players will reach 30/40% of total skills. A precise choice to push players to face the endgame with a proactive spirit. Without giving too many details, which will come later, the developers talked about the philosophy behind the endgame of Diablo 4 describing it as “easy to learn, hard to master” whereas “the hard to master component should meet the expectations of the most hardcore gamers”. You can find all the details on the new update at this link.
