Skier Survives After Falling into Gorge in the French Alps: Telegraph Reports

In the French Alps, a skier fell behind his team and fell into a deep gorge on a mountain.

The Les Powtos team has already descended this mountain many times without incident. However, this time the 36-year-old athlete left earlier and broke away from the group.

While driving, he suddenly lost control and fell into a gorge. Fortunately, he was able to rest his skis against the walls, which allowed him to survive and get stuck at a relatively shallow depth of 15 meters.

While the others were looking for him, he decided to get out himself with the help of ice axes. Already 20 minutes later, other skiers found him and pulled him out thanks to the rope.

Cursor also reported that a skier noticed a bright object in the mountains, which turned out to be a snowboarder buried alive in the snow.
