On Wednesday or Thursday, they will decide whether to say no to the National Institute of Public Health, which sends out the doses, to get everyone they are entitled to.
– No threat
– Vaccine is voluntary, but we are part of a whole. If we see that we are not allowed to set all the doses next week, they must go to other municipalities because we can not sit on them. It is not a threat to residents, but we want as many people as possible to receive the first dose, says Matre Roe.
To reach people, the municipality has, among other things, sent SMS to its inhabitants, writes Telemark newspaper, who has also mentioned the case.
They have also posted messages on the municipality’s social media and website in the hope that people will realize that they can book an appointment.
In addition to the fact that you can book an appointment online, the municipality also allows you to call in to book an appointment and get a drop-in time.
On holiday
Matre Roe states that there are people between 18 and 44 years they are struggling to get hold of this summer.
– We think and think and think how to make people wake up, and why is it that they do not come? There are 11,000 people left to vaccinate, says the vaccine coordinator.
Matre Roe believes that holiday time, low infection and the fact that society has reopened are reasons why people think they can wait to take the vaccine.
– Some people may think that they would rather go to the beach or have holiday plans that prevent them from booking an appointment or meeting on time, she says.
