ski jumping | The pictures of Lindvik made the commentator shudder:

The man who impressed in the jumping week had problems with the equipment.

The race is in progress!

Marius Lindvik delivered a fantastic jumping week, and ended up in second place behind a superb Ryoyu Kobayashi.

On Saturday, the stage was set for a new race in Bischofschofen and Lindvik was again at the very top after the first round with a jump of 133.5 meters. But what happened just before the jump was of the unusual kind.

The Norwegian seemed to have problems with the binding, and spent a long time getting out on the barrier. The 23-year-old needed assistance from the officials at the top, but finally got the shoe fastened after a few minutes.

– This is anything but lucky for Lindvik. If that clip does not fit, things will go awry. It is not beneficial to have problems with the equipment when you have to jump 140 meters on skis. For those of us who are not used to it, this feels scary, said TV 2’s Peder Mørtvedt when the pictures rolled across the screen.

The Austrian Philipp Aschenwald surprisingly leads the first round in Bischofschofen, ahead of the Japanese Kobayashi and Granrud.

– Need help

Lindvik, on the other hand, kept his head cool, and jumped to a third place after the first round.

– I had problems with the binding. It tends to be a bit convoluted, but now I actually had to get help. Luckily I got it fixed, so then it was just a matter of clinging, Lindvik himself says to TV 2.

Former national team jumper and current TV 2 expert Anders Bardal brags about his compatriot.

– It gives an extra tension around the jump, but he fixed it quickly. We should be very happy with what he delivers here.

The other Norwegians could not interfere in the lead. Fredrik Villumstad is number 18, Johann André Forfang and Daniel-André Tande are number 21 and 22, respectively.

Robert Johansson failed completely, and ended up outside the top 30.
