Ski ace Rosina Schneeberger is retiring at the age of 30! It was not an easy step for her, but her career was marked by ups and downs.
Munich – Ski ace Rosina Schneeberger is no longer able to continue and is ending her career with immediate effect. It was marked by numerous injuries, which have now led the 30-year-old to hang up her skis.

The 30-year-old ski ace wrote on Instagram about a photo: “After careful consideration, I have decided to retire from skiing and end my professional career as a ski racer.” Her journey was not always easy and the decision was not easy either, “because skiing has been an important part of my life that has brought me unforgettable experiences, valuable friendships and successes,” she wrote in her post.
“It’s been a hell of a ride, so many ups and downs and injuries that now make me say I’m no longer willing to take the full risk that is necessary to compete with the best in this sport.” She may not have achieved all of her dreams, but she is grateful for the years and that she didn’t give up. “Every challenge, every setback and every victory has made me who I am today.”

Rosina Schneeberger ends her skiing career – and devotes herself to new challenges
For Rosina Schneeberger, it is now time to find new challenges, as she tells her fans on Instagram. “I think this is the right moment to close this chapter and start a new one.”
The ski ace made her World Cup debut in March 2013 and competed in a total of 49 World Cup and 133 European Cup races. Her best World Cup result was ninth place in the combination, and in the European Cup the 30-year-old achieved eleven podium places, including two victories.
Schneeberger is not the only one hanging up her skis this summer. Just recently, an Italian ski duo ended their careers. (msb)
