No Linus Öberg tonight, maybe some kind of blemish, maybe sick, maybe out of the team, the sports director Fredrik Sjöström refered to Roger Rönnberg in the matter. Erik Borg into the squad and will probably make his first playoff changes. Frans Tuohimaa continues in the checkout, no other oddities. As for Filip Hasa, it is still unclear when his neck allows play, when the symptoms (dizziness, nausea) are so rare that he is deemed okay. Quick recap otherwise for those who haven’t followed along:
Otto Stenberg plays with Bik Karlskoga in the Allsvenskan playoffs and does so productively and successfully, is dual registered, can move freely between clubs. Noah Dower Nilsson has undergone yet another shoulder operation in Detroit, USA. The season is thus over. He should be in action when next season starts. Gustav Rydahl’s back surgery was successful, the nerve pain in his leg is gone, he has been on ice for some time; Rydahl should be able to join in August when training starts after the holidays. Mats Rosseli Olsen, you know the situation, he is far from playing hockey but is said to be feeling a little better now.

Skellefteå is still missing star defender Jonathan Pudas, he is on ice, but not yet in team training. Pär Lindholm – the center who collided with teammate Zeb Forsfjäll in the semi-final series against LHC – is closer to a comeback, perhaps playing one of the matches in Gothenburg on Wednesday/Friday. But not tonight. The team, according to norran.se:
Of course, Skellefteå does not play with fives but with back pairs and chains, but you can certainly read the line-up above correctly.

A bit fast:
## Frans Tuohimaa now gets the chance from the start, the one I thought he would have got on Saturday. No matter how it goes, count on it Lasse Johansson in the home games this week.
## The game was quite even last Saturday, Skellefteå made fewer mistakes, was also sharper and more efficient in the offensive. Frölunda came back from 0–1 against Leksand, grew into the match series, can you do something similar now? Good discipline becomes important again.
## Andreas Johnson’s slightly unbalanced talk on TV4 last time, i.e. that Frölunda went to “hunt for bones”, I assume that the coaching team in Skellefteå caught his ear. To show weakness in that way, to show that you are disturbed by the opponents, it sends anything but good signals. Skellefteå won, was a little stronger, then of course you have to show strength, nothing else.
Interesting to see how the atmosphere on the ice is tonight though.
## Frölunda’s power play in semifinal 2, as usual weak. Could it be that what on paper is PP2, the one that contains in-form players like Linus Högberg, Jere Innala and Erik Thorell, will get more chances now?
## Rögle has 2-0 at Växjö, Skellefteå can get 2-0 at Frölunda. To show how difficult a task Växjö and Frölunda then face – only four times has an SHL team gone 0-2 in a best-of-seven series:
2023: Semi-final, Skellefteå against Örebro.
2016: Quarter-final, Växjö against Linköping.
2011: Semifinal, Skellefteå mot Luleå.
2008: Final, HV71 against Linköping.
## Skellefteå was skillful in their own zone in the first match, often managed to break free, find free players in the middle, right in front of their own goal. It remains to be seen if Frölunda has learned, if you can set your forecheck better.
## This is how Linus Nässén reasoned ahead of tonight’s second semi-final.
So Frölunda will get to cheer more, Nässén: “Screw some things”
► Frölunda needs to win semi-final 2 in order not to go home from Skellefteå with a difficult 0-2 deficit. ► Here Linus Nässén gives his view on what is required. Frölunda enters semi-final 2 against Skellefteå with continued good confidence: – Long series, you have to be patient. We will take with us what we did well and will screw up a few things, said Linus Nässén on Sunday evening. THE DAY AFTER the 2-5 loss against Skellefteå, Frölunda trained, studied video from Saturday’s hockey, closed semi-final 1 and put all his focus on a slightly better performance in Monday’s game 2. Clearly what applies then. – We let go […]
