According to scientists, Gorgosaurus, which probably lived more than 70 million years ago, was related to and resembled Tyrannosaurus, but was significantly smaller. Most of the Gorgosaurus fossils have been found in Canada, and all of the remains discovered so far are in public collections. This makes the approximately three meters high and almost seven meters long skeleton, which was discovered in 2018 in the US state of Montana, the first to be put into private ownership, the auction house said.
