A skeletal body of a suspected homicide victim was found in Kembang Hamlet, Setren Village, Slogohimo Wonogiri District. Residents reveal the everyday life of the accused murderer.
It is known that a female skeleton was found in the garden belonging to Supriyanto (44), on Monday (22/4/2024). Supriyanto, who is suspected to have committed the murder, is now detained at the Wonogiri Police Headquarters for further investigation.
Meanwhile, the identity of the skeleton is Kartika Margarety Diah Pratiwi (28), a resident of Randusari Village, Slogohimo District. Previously, the victim was reported missing by his family on March 26, 2024.
One resident who did not want to be named said Supriyanto was from Setren. He lives at home with his son who graduated from high school. According to residents, the family is very secretive.
“When someone dies or their in-laws (marry), never cawe-cawe (help or cooperate),” he told reporters on Monday (22/4/2024).
But, he said, Supriyanto’s house was very busy. Because Supriyanto is known as a pencak silat teacher and his house is used for training.
“This house is also for martial arts training,” he said.
So far, local residents do not suspect a murder at Supriyanto’s house. However, several residents often knew that the victim was at Supriyanto’s house.
He said that Supriyanto was arrested by the police on Sunday afternoon (21/4/2024). Then on Monday afternoon he was brought home again to show where the victim was buried.
Two holes are dug. First, the hole is thought to be a place to burn the victim. And the second hole was dug because it was used to bury victims.
“When the police received a loan from a resident, I wondered if someone had been killed and buried there. Because (Supriyanto) had been in jail for a murder case. He had been free for a long time,” he said.
As previously reported, Wonogiri AKBP Police Chief Andi Muhammad Indra Waspada Amirullah said that the discovery of a human skeleton was suspected to be the victim of a murder. The victim’s body had burn marks.
Indra said the search for the body started with a missing person report at the Slogohimo Police Station on March 26, 2024. The missing person was the murderer, KM (28).
Starting from the missing person’s report, he said, the police investigated and led to the perpetrator.
“Finally this afternoon we searched for the victim and succeeded in finding a human skeleton in Spy’s yard,” Indra explained.
He said the Wonogiri Police Investigation Unit has now visited the crime scene for further investigation.
“To determine the cause of death of the victim, the body of the victim has now been transferred to Bhayangkara Hospital Surakarta for autopsy,” Indra said.
