Skating Bears develop victory in Augsburg
Krefeld All beginnings are difficult – the Skating Bears also experienced this when they started in the Skaterhockey Bundesliga. In the end, however, they prevailed 6:4 at TV Augsburg.
The team of coaches Fabian Peelen and Florian Lüttges was initially surprised by the stormy nature of the Fuggerstadt team and was already 2-0 down after 15 minutes. As a result, Krefeld got more access. The Bears started the second half of the game wide awake and were able to turn the game into a 3:2 lead within a very short time. Augsburg managed to equalize before the break, but the guests scored two more goals. The previous connection hit was followed shortly before the end by the 6:4. An important and not self-evident away win, also thanks to a very strong Rene Hippler in goal. Despite the success, the Krefelders remain self-critical. Pascal Mackenstein: “That was by no means our best game. We can do much more than what we have shown. Despite that, we showed morale and fought for victory.”
