Before the Plenary Session of the National Radio and Television Council (NRC) they will be on March 28 his representatives SKYapologizing for homophobic comments against him Stefanou Kasselakis.
Specifically, they are asked to provide explanations for what was said on the radio show “One of the South, two of Chios” by Vasilis Chiotis on October 11, 2023, as well as on the telecast “Good morning” by Giorgos Avtiasthree days later (October 14) against the official opposition leader.
The SKAI radio station and television are under scrutiny because of what the two journalists said on the occasion of the imminent fulfillment of the military obligations of the president of SYRIZA-PS.
It is noted that Vassilis Chiotis, who had admitted his mistake by declaring that he committed a “foul”, resigned from the position of radio director and remains on the show with Notis Papadopoulos. Specifically, Vassilis Chiotis had mentioned “they grow good figs in Kalamata”, then causing an uproar on social networks.
On the contrary, Giorgos Autias had reported on his show referring to the President of SYRIZA “Can you imagine what’s going to happen in Thebes when he shows up? In Thebes there is no gym for the new recruits, where they have done it very correctly, where we will see… what will happen next.” He claimed that his comment was not “homophobic”, finding support from Adonis Georgiadis. He has indirectly declared that he will be a candidate of the ND. for the European Parliament, although it is not official yet.
After providing oral explanations, the representatives of SKAI should submit the corresponding written memoranda within a period of about two weeks.
