The reigning Slovak football champion ŠK Slovan Bratislava won the third summer reinforcement. The management of the club agreed with the goalkeeper Adrián Chovany on a three-year contract.
In the 2020/21 season, Chovan significantly contributed to the historical success of Zlaté Moraviec, which has long fought for participation in European club competitions. Chovan represented Slovakia in the under-21 category, captured the qualification and the final tournament of the 2017 European Championships, where he was a Slovak unit and did not miss a minute.
“We perceive Adrián Chovan as a promising goalkeeper who has recently made a significant performance leap. He indicated his potential in the under-21 national team, when he captured the qualification and the final tournament of the European Championships. He came back with a very good last season, and his progress did not escape our attention.
It comes in an ideal football age, but still with the prospect of further improvement. We want to give him an opportunity and it will be up to him how he will fight for his place in the competition that awaits him in Slovan, ” said Ivan Kmotrík Jr., general director of the club, for the official Slovan website.
Chovan is looking forward to working in Slovan. “I perceive the fact that I became a Slav player as a huge honor, a great motivation and a new challenge. I come to the most successful club in Slovakia, which I appreciate immensely. the most beautiful stadium in Slovakia.
I’m looking forward to the great fans that Slovan has and to this wonderful football stand. I have had the best season of my career. Thanks to Zlaté Moravce, where I got the opportunity to start and catch again. I am now determined to take on another challenge. “ said Chovan.
