The Slovak football club ŠK Slovan Bratislava has returned to the top of the Deloitte football financial league. He ended the 2019/2020 season with a significant advantage over fortunalig competition with revenues from economic activity approaching 20 million euros.
The second place belongs to FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda, which loses almost 12.5 million to the winner. The winner of last year’s MŠK Žilina fell to fourth place.

The total revenues from the economic activity of the clubs amounted to 53.6 million euros. The year-on-year difference in revenues compared to 2018 represents a decrease of almost 2.5 million. With the exception of MŠK Žilina, FC Spartak Trnava and AS Trenčín, however, other clubs improved.
FK Senica achieved a better position by 5 positions, placing 6th in the current third year of the Deloitte Football Finance League. FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda, which took second place with revenues of 7.1 million, and MFK Ružomberok, which moved from last year’s 10th place to last 8th place with revenues of 1.5 million, were also significantly more successful.

The 2019/2020 season was also specific to the club’s revenue structure. The key sources in the revenues of the premier league clubs were approximately 15.5 million euros. Revenues from the sale and hosting of players, which in previous seasons formed the main revenues of clubs, fell by as much as 7 million. Nevertheless, they accounted for a quarter of clubs’ total revenues.
