According to the business community on the 31st, the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold a meeting of the presidency on February 1 at the Chamber of Commerce in Jung-gu, Seoul, and will solely elect Chairman Tae-won Choi as chairman Park Yong-man. The meeting of the presidency will be conducted face-to-face in compliance with the quarantine guidelines.
At this meeting, Chairman Tae-won Choi is elected solely as the president of the Seoul Prize, and is finally elected as the president of the Seoul Prize at the extraordinary general meeting of parliamentarians held on the 23rd of next month. According to the articles of incorporation that the president of the Seoul Award will also serve as the president of the Korea Award, Chairman Choi is scheduled to take the place of chairman of the Korea Award after going through a general meeting of members of the Korea Award in March.
This is the first time that the head of the four major domestic groups will be the chairman of the Daehan Award. The Korea Chamber of Commerce is the largest economic organization in Korea, ranging from SMEs to large corporations. There are 180,000 member companies nationwide, and a global network with chambers of commerce in 130 countries around the world has been established.
