Aku Louhimies is applying for the professorship of Cinematography at Aalto University.
There were 24 applicants, and in addition to Louhimie, they have progressed to the next stage Juho Kuosmanen, Hanna Maylett and Sofia Bohdanovich.
– I applied for a professorship in order to influence the kind of stories we Finns tell. I believe that it matters, Louhimies told Suomen Kuvalehti on the phone from a business trip from New York.
Louhimie’s management style was heavily criticized in 2018.

– Media literacy has improved. I don’t think the voters have any particular image of me. Hardly any more positive than negative publicity influences the choice.
