– As far as we know, there is no question of serious personal injury. They are in shock and all four have been in the water. They are looked after by health on site, says operations manager in Nordland police district Ina Selfors, to VG.

She says that the police are on their way out of Svolvær, but that it takes two hours to drive to Å.

Selfors currently has no record of whether any of the four are children.

– A lot of wind has been reported, but it will calm down on Monday morning, she says.

Was alerted by tourists

The police initially wrote that it was a cabin, but wrote in an update that it should be a sea shed.

Andreas Skindlo at the 110 central tells VG that the people got out of the water by their own machine.

– We were notified by some tourists who lived in some other cabins nearby, says Skindlo.

There are five sea sheds on site, four of which are rented out. All the people in these sea sheds have been evacuated to houses on the spot, the police write on Twitter.

– The weather is very, very tough

A yellow warning has been issued for gales in the area. According to Yr, there is a stiff gale from the west in the area on Sunday evening, with wind gusts of 26 meters per second. The danger warning applies until Monday morning.

– The weather is very, very tough here now, Marcel Körmer, who is general manager of the company Lofoten Fishing in Å, told VG on Sunday evening. He says everyone in the settlement has sought shelter indoors.

He says that the incident happened at a campsite with what he describes as several newly built, small cabins.

– One of the cabins is in the lake right now, he says.

The mayor has been notified of what has happened.

– I am informed, am in ongoing contact with the emergency services until the situation is clarified, writes Lillian Rasmussen, mayor of Moskenes municipality, in an SMS to VG.
