Sjaak Swart is very grumpy after Ajax’s defeat against Feyenoord. The team from Amsterdam received a beating on Sunday when they visited their arch rival (6-0), suffering one of the most painful defeats in club history. Bee Wine and in the Morning op 3FM ‘Mister Ajax’ is obviously not too enthusiastic about his club.
Radio maker Wijnand Speelman contacted Swart in his program, who was clearly not looking forward to it. “We are just calling you to ask how the flag is hanging after yesterday,” Speelman begins the telephone conversation. “I didn’t see it yesterday, so I don’t want anything to do with it,” the former footballer responds.

“I know what it is like at Ajax at the moment. A very bad year, I’m not going to say anything about the rest,” Swart then concludes. “But you are Mister Ajax, you always keep hope, right?” Speelman wonders. “I always have hope. Do I need to read out everything we have won? Or is that known?”, Swart annoys.
“How are we supposed to get back that feeling that Ajax had a few years ago?” he is asked, after which the grumpiness is clearly audible. “Go ahead and ask someone else. I’ve said enough about it, I’m not going to say anything,” concludes Swart, who then continues to speak out. “Last week we saw Feyenoord against FC Volendam. That became 0-0. Wonderful how they played back then. Then they play against Ajax, they get everything… I don’t say anything about it. I don’t feel like doing this, I have too much to do today.”
