SSixteen people were taken to hospital following a fire that broke out on Saturday evening in an apartment building on Jan De Voslei in Antwerp, firefighters and police say.

“About 30 people called the medical services because they had inhaled smoke. Sixteen of them, including children, were taken to hospital, but no one is in serious condition, ”explains Wouter Bruyns, spokesperson for the local police.
