Sixteen injured in shooting incident in New York City subway station, but “no act of terror”

The shooting happened at 8:30 a.m. local time, in the full morning rush hour, on the N Line heading to Manhattan in the west of the Brooklyn borough. A man put on a gas mask and threw a smoke bomb into the subway car. He then opened fire on people in the car and on the platform.
