SIXT Signs Multi-Billion Dollar Deal with Stellantis for Purchase of 250,000 Vehicles

The car rental company SIXT has signed an agreement with the automotive concern Stellantis for the purchase of 250,000 vehicles for its own needs.

Shortly after SIXT announced its disillusionment with electric vehicle operating practices and its intention to dispose of a third of its current fleet (mainly Tesla), the media reports a multi-billion dollar deal with automotive concern Stellantis.

The agreement envisages that Stellantis will deliver up to 250,000 vehicles to SIXT in Europe and the USA over the next three years, covering all brands of the automotive concern, including Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Opel, Peugeot, RAM, Vauxhall and Maserati.

The first large-scale deliveries are already planned for the first quarter of this year. The terms of the contract include deliveries of passenger cars and also light commercial vehicles for a total amount of several billion euros.

Stellantis and SIXT have announced that they are exploring possible future cooperation opportunities in other regions of the world as well
