In Canada, there is a kind of parking lot with … 3,000 abandoned BMW and Mini cars that have been standing in a field near Vancouver for almost six years. And to those of you who immediately thought that cars could come back to life, we will say that, unfortunately, there is no hope for their recovery.
Why? For the simple reason that these 3,000 cars were exposed to salt and moisture when they arrived at the port of Halifax in February 2015. They stayed there for a long time, but the problem does not end there, as the cars are subsequently hit by another problem.
A terrible blizzard is sweeping Canada and causing significant damage to the BMWs in question. It turns out that they have totally damaged electrical circuits, starters and steering racks.
However, these cars could have been saved if the authorities had ordered them to be removed in time. Unfortunately, BMW did not find it economically viable to carry out the repairs and the Bavarian company chose to simply abandon them.
