Six without a win: The September table of the Bundesliga

With the 7th day of the season, the Bundesliga is slowly but surely turning into autumn. On Friday evening, 1.FC Cologne welcomes SpVgg Greuther Fürth for the first game in October. In September, both teams were without a threesome and thus belonged to a surprisingly large group.

After all, six Bundesliga clubs, or a third, remained without a win in September. In addition to Cologne and Fürth, this affected VfL Bochum, Arminia Bielefeld, Eintracht Frankfurt and VfB Stuttgart. The billy goats and Frankfurt can say of themselves that they have not lost a game, they played three times in a series 1: 1, most recently against each other. Apart from Cologne and Eintracht, only SC Freiburg and FC Bayern remained without a defeat in the Bundesliga in September.

Bavaria in frightening form

The Munich team pushed themselves to the top of the Bundesliga table through an almost perfect month. Three wins in three games, 14-2 goals: FC Bayern was in terrifyingly good shape in September. Especially when you think of the Champions League, in which FC Barcelona and Dynamo Kiev were swept off the field with a total of 8-0 goals.

Four teams tied behind Bayern

In Europe, Borussia Dortmund also scored the maximum of six points after two games. There were just as many in the Bundesliga in September after Marco Rose’s return to his old place of work at Borussia Mönchengladbach was lost. Nevertheless, BVB landed in second place behind FC Bayern in the September Bundesliga table. Gladbach, Hertha BSC and Bayer Leverkusen also scored six points.
