As for the documentary film category, the film “Seven Winters in Tehran” by director Stevie Niederzoll (France-Germany) won the documentary film award, with a “special mention” by the jury of this competition for the film “Koromosu – The Big Sister” by directors Habibata Warmi and Jim Donovan ( Canada). This session celebrated the most equal cinematic work in cinema, as it awarded the “The Other Bank” award to the Moroccan film “Hamida Al-Jayeh” directed by Mustafa Al-Derqawi.

On the occasion of the opening of the ceremony, Noureddine Lazraq, Chairman of the Salé Prefecture Council, said: “The International Women’s Film Festival in Salé is a bright station for the residents of the city, thanks to its hosting of film personalities of various nationalities, which gives an atmosphere of joy to the residents of the city who love the seventh art.” .

Festival Director Abdul Latif Al-Assadi said at the closing ceremony held at the Hollywood Cinema: “We bid farewell to this session after we have accumulated a lot of expertise and experiences, and achieved new gains and additions in order to support freedom of expression, cultural diversity, and the issue of parity in cinema.”
He added, “This year we hosted contemporary Mexican cinema, a cinema that constantly renews itself, in support of Mexican identity and freeing it from subjugation to the drowning of American culture.”
He continued, saying: “This session was known as its predecessors, but with the same double effect, consolidating and devoting the cultural dimension of our festival represented by the signing of books concerned with women’s cinema and aesthetic issues, and with special seminars, meetings and workshops to train young people and motivate them to take an interest in women’s issues and rights in general.”
