Tel Aviv: Six foreign volunteers of the US-based World Central Kitchen (WCK) organization were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza. Those killed were from Britain, Poland, Australia and the US. Their Palestinian driver was also killed. Their vehicle was attacked in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza while returning from food distribution in northern Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted that the army targeted innocent people. He clarified that the attack was tragic but not deliberate. He said that measures will be taken to prevent such incidents from happening again. In the wake of the attack, the WCK suspended its operations in Gaza. It is estimated that 196 volunteers have been killed in Gaza so far. 174 of them worked in the United Nations. At the same time, more than 32,900 Palestinians have lost their lives in Gaza so far during Israeli attacks.
