The Ribeirão Paroquial Social Center, in Famalicão, has employees infected with covid-19 in all the institution’s facilities.
“Since childhood, seniors and disabilities, there are between one and two positive cases in all responses,” said O MINHO, a technical director of the institution, revealing that the total number is between “six to ten employees” .
In childhood, the Center has a Nursery, Kindergarten / Preschool and Leisure Activities Center; in the elderly, they have a Day Center, Residential Structure and Home Support Service; in the disability it has Center of Occupational Activities and Residential Home.
As the employees have different skills and “there is no connection between them”, the institution is unable to “understand where this chain of infection comes from”.

It was, moreover, after news of a priest having tested positive for covid-19 that all employees were tested, eventually revealing several infected ones.
“We are trying to understand what is happening”, underlines the technical director.
Meanwhile, all users of residential structures began to be tested today, visits to the home were suspended, as well as the activity of the other valences, such as the day care center.
“We closed the answers, some of which were already reducing hours due to the end of the school year, as part of childhood. The management, together with the health delegation, decided to close the childhood section and activities center. And ask the families to collaborate in the home support service ”, explains the source, stressing that the spaces are already being disinfected.
Last week, the Centro Social Paroquial de Ribeirão announced that its president, Monsignor Manuel Joaquim Fernandes, was infected.
Consequently, the institution “decided on its own initiative to carry out examinations / tests on all its employees on duty”.
These tests would eventually reveal several infected people, confirmed today by the Center.
