Sir Chris Hoy, a six-time Olympic champion from Scotland, a track cyclist competing in British colors at the Olympics, is suffering from serious prostate and bone cancer. According to his doctors, he may have 2-4 years to live. THE Sky News based on his shocking reporting, 48-year-old Chris Hoy gave an account of all this himself. As he said, he has known for more than a year, but he remains optimistic and hopeful. The former Team GB cyclist, who was knighted in 2008, said:
“however unnatural it may seem, it is nature.”
Sir Chris Hoy recounted the moment he received the news, revealing that initially a tumor was found in his shoulder, then cancer was discovered in his prostate and finally metastases in his bones. Chris Hoy has been married to 38-year-old lawyer Sarra Kemp since 2010, and they have two children, Callum and Chloe. In addition to the athlete’s cancer, it is a serious drama that his wife Sarra was diagnosed with aggressive multiple sclerosis barely a month after it was revealed that her husband was suffering from advanced cancer.
Chris Hoy is an 11-time world champion and has won 6 Olympic gold medals and a silver medal in three different Olympics – Athens (2004), Beijing (2008) and London (2012). Since his retirement in 2013, he started a new career, so he started in the Le Mans car race, but he also wrote children’s books and was active as a TV commentator.
