A total of six people have been injured, one of them moderate, after a fire broke out in a house in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of 112 in the Canary Islands.
The events took place around 5:21 am this Monday on the ground floor of a house on Altair Street, in the Añaza area, where members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium moved to extinguish the fire and proceed to ventilation of the building after the building is vacated.
Subsequently, the staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) assisted a 63-year-old man, who at the initial moment of assistance had moderate smoke inhalation poisoning, for which he was transferred in an ambulance to the Hospital University of Our Lady of La Candelaria.
Likewise, SUC staff and the health center in the area assisted a 78-year-old woman, who at the initial moment of assistance had mild smoke inhalation poisoning, as well as three women and a baby. , one of them being transferred to the Añaza Continuing Care Point (PAC) and the rest of those affected were treated at the site.
In the area, agents of the Local Police, National Police and Civil Protection also appeared, who collaborated with the emergency services in extinguishing the fire and in assisting the injured.
