With two additional physician arrivals in May and September 2021, the pediatric team is soon complete.
By September 2021, the service pediatrics from the hospital Dieppe (Seine-Maritime) will count ten doctors. “We can again offer an offer of follow-up consultations for children with chronic pathologies”, explains the Dr Noémie Grancher, head of division.
Consultations in the pediatric ward of the hospital can also be used to advise parents of infants on diet, sleep, digestive disorders in toddlers for example.
“They also come in support of treating physicians,” adds the Dr Richard Lemaire, general practitioner in this service. They can refer their patients to us for a notice. It is important to offer joint monitoring. “
Medical specialties
At the end of 2020, two doctors joined the team, the Dr Jaffray and the Dr Lemaire. In 2021, they were joined by the Dr. Gaspard and the Dr Viennot which replaces the Dr Deniau retired at the beginning of April. The Dr Desseille and the Dr Ledo-Petit will complete the team in May and September.
Finally, the Dr Naccache, of the Rouen University Hospital Center, opens its consultations in Dieppe once a week in endocrinology and diabetology. “We can offer a reinforced range of specialties,” says Dr Noémie Grancher, with doctors specializing in pulmonology and allergology, nephrology, hematology and obesity infantile – in addition to general pediatrics.
Doctolib
The mother-child center is gradually opening up to making appointments on Doctolib. If the consultations available concern for the moment the children already followed, and for five doctors of the pediatric service only, the site and the application will soon be accessible for more doctors and young patients.

This is excellent news for staff and pediatric patients, since a year ago, they were only four doctors. “We’re starting from a long way off,” confirms Dr Noémie Grancher. There had been maternity leave, departures… and great difficulties in replacing them. We must have restricted a lot of activities. “
Finally, a first hiring is successful. Thanks to work to readjust on-call duty and to special attention to welcoming new caregivers in Dieppe, word of mouth works and it’s a whole salvo of doctors who join the city at the four ports. “The average age is around 35 years. We have a young and dynamic team, ”smiles Dr Grancher.
Emergencies and follow-up
The head of department can now promise a “quality care offer” to the inhabitants of the Dieppe region.
Besides the scheduled consultations, in the context of monitoring chronic pathologies, the doctor also recalls that pediatric emergencies, restructured to isolate them from general emergencies, welcome young patients 24 hours a day with specialized interns all year round.
