The azzurrini dominate the match, especially in an orderly scrum, and get the second victory of their tournament
Six Nations under 20: great Italy in Treviso, Scotland beaten 27-13 (ph. M. Radoni)

Victory had to be and victory was: Italy dominates and beats Scotland 27-13, beating Wales in fourth place in the standings. A high-level performance, which confirms – especially in defense – the good things always shown to Monigo against England. The Scots have only found the goal after time has elapsed, and the game has already been lost, but for 80 minutes they have not been able to find the necessary advancement to become dangerous.
On the shields the orderly melee, a real thorn in Scotland’s side throughout the game. The lineout was also very good, with Ortombina always present, and the maul, from which the first goal was born. Wanting to nitpick, only the bonus point was missing, which would have put the icing on the cake on a great performance, but Brunello’s team must come out of Monigo once again proud of what they have done on the pitch.
The chronicle
Italy immediately makes things clear. Scots plowed in the first orderly scrum, they go into a lineout, the maul is just as devastating and captain Ferrari crushes for the immediate 5-0. Sante transforms from difficult position and adds another 2 points. Scotland reacts by shortening the gap with Mc Clintock, who takes advantage of the indiscipline of the azzurrini (now in the white jersey) and scores two kicks for the 7-6.
The Italian response, however, is immediate: the Garbisi-Sante couple opens the way to the break of the opening of Mogliano. The forwards do the rest and earn a free kick that the blue 10 puts in: 10-6. Brunello’s team ball in hand is always dangerous, use the drive to advance and widen the game as soon as it finds the possibility. On the other hand, the Scots live off flare-ups and opportunities that arise mainly from Italian fouls, but struggle in the lineout (also thanks to the excellent performance of Ortombina) and fail to bring home points.

At 28 ‘Pani’s game ends early and comes out limping. In place of him Mey, who hits the first good ball: starts from the middle of the field, jumps two players and flies directly to the flag. Sante transforms for 17-6. Italy takes the match in hand, Rizzoli finalizes another great choral action with a good charge, but arrives very short and the TMO cancels.
The Scottish attack at the beginning of the second half did not collect results, and it also ended quite quickly, because after the first 5 minutes the azzurrini returned to attack and stretched with Sante’s foot: 20-6. Brunello’s team now has the game in hand, and at 54 ′ digs the definitive furrow: scrum with Scottish introduction once again plowed by Italy, Ferrari collects the ball from his side, escapes a tackle and flies directly to mark the 27-6.
The game drops in pace. Italy has some opportunity to find the bonus point, but all in all it is limited to managing, while on the other side the Scots try with a wave of pride the marking, which arrives in time with Josh Taylor. It ends 27-13 for Italy, who wins the second victory in the tournament and projects with the best wishes towards Wales.
