Six members of La Línea arrested in Chihuahua with weapons; they would be related to 5 homicides

Federal and state security authorities Chihuahua Six generators of violence were arrested in the municipality of Cuauhtémoc City.

G. and Enrique MF, both 25 years old; as well as Manuel René MV, 35; and Jaime HG, 41 years old.

These people were seized 4 long weapons caliber 7.62x39mm; 1 long weapon .223; 31 chargers loaded with bulletproof plates; 569 useful cartridges; 2 vests with bulletproof plates; 5 vests; 4 tactical pants; 2 tactical shirts; a gray SEAT Ibiza vehicle which has a theft report dated October 20, 2017 in the city of Chihuahua; and a blue Ford Expedition armored truck.

Infobae Mexico was able to confirm that these people belong to the criminal group known as La Línea, the armed wing of Juarez Cartel which maintains a dispute with cells of the Sinaloa Cartel in this part of the state.

Disputes between the armed branches of the Juarez Cartel are having a significant impact on the increase in homicides and kidnappings in municipalities such as Ciudad Juarez y Chihuahua capital, according to local authorities.

Between June 7 and 10, 45 homicides were recorded in the state of Chihuahuaa situation that has raised alarm bells among security authorities. This information was revealed during the president’s morning press conference Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador June 11th.

Cesar Gustavo Jauregui Morenoattorney general of Chihuahuapointed out that “the increase in murders is mainly due to disputes between criminal groups such as The Line in Juarez and La Empresa in Chihuahua.” The prosecutor added that they are already handling several lines of investigation and have identified some of the perpetrators of these crimes.
