At least six people were injured in a house fire in Dongen, Brabant, last night. Another person is also missing.
The fire brigade will probably be extinguishing the fire all morning, a spokesperson for the safety region said. It will take longer to put out the fire because the building has collapsed at the rear. As a result, the fire brigade cannot extinguish the fire from the inside, but only from the outside. Holes have been made in the roof, so that the fire service can better reach the fire with an aerial platform.
The fire broke out around 4:45 a.m. Some residents fled through the roof.
Residents of neighboring homes also had to leave their homes. The spokesperson does not know how many people that concerns. The evacuees are received by rescuers.
Emergency services have arranged psychological help for the residents of the building that is on fire. According to the safety region, the impact of the fire is great for them.
