The districts of Viseu, Porto, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Aveiro and Coimbra are under orange warning between 18:00 today and 03:00 on Tuesday due to the forecast of waves with five to six meters high, which can reach nine or 10 meters, with gusts up to 85 km / h, especially on the coast.
The IPMA also placed the districts of Lisbon, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Braga and Leiria under yellow warning due to the forecast of strong maritime unrest, with waves of four and five meters until 03:00 on Tuesday.
The orange warning is the second of a scale of four and indicates a moderate to high risk meteorological situation.
The yellow warning, the third of the scale, reveals a risk situation for certain activities depending on the weather situation.
