Six dead in helicopter crash in West Virginia

Six people died in a helicopter crash in West Virginia. Rescue teams chief Ray Bryant told the TV station WSAZthat it has not yet been clarified why the Bell UH-1B helicopter crashed on Wednesday evening (local time). The National Authority for Transport Safety announced that it would send a team of investigators to the scene of the accident. The helicopter had been used for tourist flights.

A resident from the accident region told the broadcaster WSAZ, she called the rescue teams and then ran to the crash site. There she saw the burning helicopter. The Bell UH-1B helicopter was developed in the 1950s and used extensively by the US military in the Vietnam War.
