“We are ready to take measures as will be required, there is no case in Quebec currently,” Health Minister Danielle McCann said on Tuesday. We are on standby, we are monitoring the situation closely. ”
Global public health officials will meet on Wednesday to discuss the new virus, which is akin to severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS).
The Legault government ensures that Quebec is sufficiently equipped to cope with the spread of the coronavirus, despite the difficulty of the health system in managing the flu season in recent weeks.

She said arrangements are currently being made by Canadian border agencies, including Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, to exercise special surveillance over travelers returning from Asia.
